"English Bellow!
To achieve clean hands, each person's
consciousness is more important than washing hands with soap; this is an
activity carried out by F-HTL together with its partner GFFTL and the HAK Association,
funded by WaterAid Timor-Leste and organized by the BESI Team of Liquiça
Municipality on this Friday of the week.
The activity received the participation of the
Chief of the Secretariat of Electricity, Water, and Sanitation, who in his
speech said, "Through the government program, through the program, and the
commitment that the government continues to prioritize electricity and water,
because through water, we can ensure people's lives and reduce mortality in
Timor."
During this activity, they also received
students at the cultural center and gave traditional Tais cloths to the
students of EBC Fahilebu. In addition to receiving the students, these students
also demonstrated proper handwashing, accompanied by the Deputy Minister of
Health of Liquiça Municipality. After the activity, the Administrator of
Bazartete Post, who is also the host of the event, accompanied the chiefs to
perform a symbolic planting of trees in the school garden.
This event celebrating World Handwashing Day is not limited to handwashing with soap; there is also a cooking competition for women from Village 3, Fahilebu Sub-village, to commemorate World Rural Women's Day. The thematic message of World Rural Women's Day is "Women Ready to Lead, Create Prosperity, and Happiness.""
